Holy smokes!!
This week has been the best/craziest weeks ever, first off i did have another baptism! And what another amazing experience, Carla was prepared and so ready to become a missionary as well. I couldnt ask for anything better. My heart is so full. We also had an investigator there and his name is Flávio. Well he didn't exactly know how things went with baptism, so when she went into the water he kinda did a YELP. haha it was so funny but he was a tad freaked out at first. After we explained that we get baptized by going all the way under the water he was okay. In the moment it was pretty funny. Other than that the baptism was amazing and we did a special number for her..singing again... the spirit was strong.
In this area we have sooooo many elect people its nuts! But i wanted to talk more about this one guy from Africa. Interesting thing is, that he speaks and understand english really well but doesn't like Portuguese. So every week we go to teach him, its in english. Man it is so weird, I don't like it too much but that's how it is! His first language is Creole so because we can't speak that he just says to speak english. sweet opportunity! He is super accepting to the gospel and he loves all of it. It is so wonderful when you can teach people about Christ and they can feel the spirit right off! Right now he is in a tough situation health wise. He got into an accident and half of his body is paralyzed. For church we have rides for him every week. The thing I love is when we go teach him, he is so humble and willing to accept and learn new things. The spirit is so over whelming when he talks, its an amazing experience.
Other than that I am doing FANTASTIC! I am loving Porto and its crazy weather changes. The culture is a tad different and the people are very straight forward haha and loving haha. Also everyone has a hard time understanding me because I have an accent to Lisboa. People talk weird here, but they can get used to me haha. (or me having to change my accent!) I am rounding up on 5 months this week and I can't really believe it. I love the work more than anything and have learned a lot this week about the importance of true prayer in your life. Oração tem PODER!!
Anywho, I love you all more than you can imagine!
