starting from where we left off...12/14 to now. I am sure the only people that will be reading these are the die hard friends and fam bam, so again...my apologies.-mom here goes:
What a fantastic week! (before christmas)
So really here in Coimbra we can feel that the holidays are coming! We have such a huge tourist shopping spot in our area so its perfect to contact a billion people. So crazy that i have almost been smacked by a car or two or a goat...Ya so we were also walking one day and we saw an open farm so we decided to go onto it and try and not the door. But it turns out that they had a "guard dog" which was an angry goat that was running towards us haha, But good thing Sister Leavitt is from Idaho and knows how to handle goats So we ended up feeding it and then leaving that farm in peace.
Other than our adventures we have been fed like goats as well with members this week for sure, my stomach has never been this full. But some of the best food ever, i think i have almost eaten everything possible that they serve here. One of my favorite dishes would have to be "Arroz de Pato" Which is duck! Its super yummy. Other than the amazing food we have been Caroling like crazy in the biggest parts of this city which is always fun. This Christmas will be amazing, we have so many parties going on I dont know when Christmas will end for everyone. We have some parties for our ward which we will also be doing a play this just us 10 missionares in 2 wards, and we are bringing Santa for sure. It will be a ball.
On all the small miracles this week my heart is super full, we have been passing all the people on the ward list that are not active and one day we found this 2 boys that are super young but they live with there parents wow we got to talk with. My goodness what a solid, special family. The spirit was strong and they parents said that it was the 3 time that the missionaries had come over and this time they cant let go of this opportunity. So they will be coming to church with us now and getting ready to be baptized. Also we have a baptism coming up after Christmas, her name is Aledia and she is really truly amazing. She is from cape verde and she comes to church every Sunday with us, she has so many questions and reads and studies the BOM every night. Really cant wait for her baptism!
Welp I hope everyone had a fantastic week!!! Love you all!
