Oh and a huge CONGRATS to my lovely Brother Austin to finally put a ring on it and snagging the best woman in the world for him..We love you Elle!! <3 Good thing you guys have to wait till i am home to get hitched....thanks! ( ha ha)
So to catch everyone up on the past two weeks I will just do some quick points and explain this past week a tad better.
So this week has been full of dinner and cake everyday, but even better than that, we are teaching some people right now that we will be helping get ready to be baptized soon enough! One of the crazy things we have done "BOLD" was we went onto the Metro at the busiest time of the day and preached to everyone!! We asked for everybody’s attention and we testified about the love of God, about families and about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and then we distributed cards! The first time nobody accepted our cards, but we did not want to give up, then we went into another metro car and almost everybody accepted… People will remember this and one day they will listen to and accept the message of the Restoration in their lives. At least this has helped us win over fear, and increased our faith! Really it was the funnest thing we have done while I have been here. (okay...WOW!, I don't know if I could do that!)
Also another thing we did was we went to this huge garden by our house with 4 Books of Mormon and we sat down. We left one Book behind for someone to pick up! It was a success, it only had our number and last names in there so they had to call us and ask to meet up! We have now had great lessons about the Book of Mormon and Christ's love for us and how really it truly testifies of the truthfulness of this gospel.
And now the Wonderful day of the 26th!
Really I have never felt so much love in my heart at one time, the day started out with all the members calling me in the morning and then old comps...really was awesome. Then Sister Pereira is amazing! (her companion) She put me on a hunt in or house with cute sayings all over the walls and it led me to my favorite candy and these cute presents! She is the best, then we visited people and I think every contact Sister P. told everyone it was my birthday haha. I got so many kisses that day. Afterwards, we went to lunch and had so much cake and presents, then off to work more! English class was next and they had to sing to me in english. It was the best...THEN...I hate surprises, but sister p said we had to go to one more place and we ended up at Castro's house! I love them so much, they had everyone hiding in the other room and all jumped out and sang and then she had made this amazing dinner and of course we had cake and they had trick candles which made them laugh to much haha. I was stuffed to death with love and food. I couldn't have been happier, it was really super fun. So thank you to my Portugal Family!
Of course the parties don't stop but let's just say I had to pass the food fast so I couldn't fit anymore in my stomach haha. We also had the church filled this sunday with members and people of other faith, which was amazing! Everyone was so happy and we had our investigators who really just loved church. It was a good week!
For this week, I cant wait for conference!!!!! (2 times a year our Prophet, President Monson, his counselors and others are asked to speak to the church members as a whole. This is done in Salt Lake City, but they have it broadcast on TV and the internet as well...It is uplifting and you are sincerely spiritually fed. Everyone in any religion can gain something from this conference. If you are interested in taking a peak, look up Mormon.org)
Love you all!!!!!!! Have an amazing week
