Ola!!!!
Entao, lets see my first week in my new area has been pretty dang good! My first shock was that members here feed you haha. I have never gotten fed this much, so when I was at dinner I couldn't even finish my food. Sadness. This ward here is also another shock because its an actual ward! There's about 80 to 90 people and they are fantastic and loving. They have named me "Sister Luz" I am the light! haha. Which reminds me, they made me be a part of the choir...fam you know how i feel about this haha. Just stoked ;). (this girl has a great voice but HATES to sing) It was fun because we had Elder Moreira a member of the 70 for Portugal come to speak and it was uplifting and good for the soul.
Its also been just an adventure this transfer having kinda two younger missionaries being together haha, we learn a lot from, each other everyday. We have really been on fire and trying to hit our personal goals and trying to build up this ward even more. This week i also experienced so much rain in my life time, the weather is the weirdest it hailed rain for two days then was nice and pretty the other two days. ya just never know haha. Good thing we get taken under the Castos familys wings and get fed soupa and pao. Love my life. Okay an int resting thing happened this week were this lady was telling me my future, also i got someone saying i look like britney spears (hate my life) but i didnt wanna sass her back on that one haha. People here are also wayyyyyy more straight forward, like way way. So sometimes its just great haha. I also tried a new dish called "Franczinhs" super interesting. 4 types of meat inside bread, cheese and this sauce. It wasn't to shabby but I felt like I died after I because I was so stuffed!
Okay i will end on this talk that I read from the Liahona this week by Elder Erying called "The Comforter". It was sweet to grasp and understand the role that the Holy Ghost plays in our EVERYDAY life. I wish I could just quote every line but a couple parts I loved were when he talked about how we promised that WE would help the Lord make other peoples burdens light and be comforted. WE were given the power to help lighten those loads when we received the gift of the Holy Ghost. That made me think of these people a lot differently this week and to make sure that I was their comforter. What hit me the most was at the end of the talk he said how he thanks us for helping the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, the He strengthens feeble knees and lifts up hands that hang down. We are all His servants and are here to help one another feel His love.
Much love to everyone, Happy Birthday Adele and Happy Baptism to Seth!!
