Well, happy week for everyone!
This week has been pretty swell, I will first start out talking about how we got locked out of the house for 4 hours. So our house is right next to the metro that runs ALL night, so the past week I have had no sleep. One night I decided to take some stuff to help make me sleep better. The next morning I was on cloud 9 and got so much sleep, got up and running for the day and all happy and once we got out the door I realized I didn't have the keys!!! So help me hahaha. So yeah, we ended up calling the Elders whom I don't think helped that much haha, but we finally had to go to the key store and they busted the door for us. That was fun, so I just can't catch a break for anything right now haha. Now I basically glue the keys to my hip so I don't forget.
Anyways, good news! OUR PRESIDENT IS HERE!
He has the thickest Brazilian accent ever. He and his wife are from Brazil so that would make sense and he is super amazing! Cant wait to get to know him a bit better.
This week I have really seen amazing things happen, we first taught I. a lot this week because he is preparing to be baptized next month. He has to get married first so we had to wait for that, But as we taught him the 10 commandments he was in love and wanted to memorize them! I really am so shocked every time we end a lesson with him, he either accepts right away or memorizes what we taught. So elect. Next is another investigator A., we have been trying to see her this whole transfer and we haven't been able to run into her at all. One random night we were walking home super drained and up ahead of us we saw her! We had huge smiles on our faces and we got to talk to her for a little bit. The lesson was powerful and just what she needed. She said her first prayer with us, asking if this was the true church because she really wants to know for her self. She felt the love and that feeling she needed to feel in that moment, we then gave her a LDM and she said she would read and pray so we shall see! I am really seeing little tender mercies all around. Just small and simple. And to me thats whats so important. The small and simple things to this church are what counts because he sees and feels our intentions and what we actually need. I have seen this week the building up of prayers and how important they are especially as I started teaching people the importance and how the responses feel I felt my self growing at the same time. Anyways just a couple neat stories that were awesome this week.
We had an awesome ward barbecue with so much meat I couldn't even handle myself!!! They have the best seasonings here, of course we also had rice and beans and salad. Mom you would be proud!! I am eating everything in the salad! Which usually consists of tomatoes, corn, olives, onions and peppers. Holla for healthy! Oh and they never use dressing, just oil and salt pretty much its actually really good.
Oh haha one things that I have noticed is that I have laughed so much that my lower back is actually starting to hurt haha. I think its a good thing, there are just the little things everyday that are so funny. One thing I said that was dumb but funny was this old lady was trying to get me to eat something and I was already stuffed. I told her, woman "Cheio de fome"!!!!!! what I meant to say was just "Cheio" (full) )what I actually said was " I am starving!"..it was a long day. Another funny thing haha was when we were over at a member's home and during the prayer Sister Hillam thought she heard her end the prayer, but really she didn't, so in the middle of the prayer she said "AMEN" super loud and we all just started laughing so hard.
That was my fantastic week!!!!!!!
Love you all até próxima!
